A case of disseminated granuloma annulare associated with dermatomyositis

We present a case of the unusual association of disseminated granuloma annulare with dermatomyositis.
A 79 year old lady with an eight year history of well-controlled dermatomyositis presented with a four week history of a diffuse, asymptomatic, papular eruption affecting her forearms, upper arms and upper trunk. Biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of disseminated granuloma annulare. We present the histological and clinical features of the two entities in this case, and describe her clinical outcome.
