Red and sore in a rare patient

We report a novel case of relapsing lymphocytic panniculitis / clinically diagnosed Sweet’s syndrome in a 13 year old girl with Erdheim Chester disease treated with the BRAF inhibitor vemurafenib. Painful indurated lesions on the limbs and trunk were accompanied by rash and malaise which quickly resolved with cessation of treatment, oral steroids and / or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) on various occasions. A summary of the literature is presented.
